Yay! My slide scanner is working again!
A couple of years ago, I got a Mac Mini, but lost the ability to use my Canon SCSI Slide scanner with it. :(

Canon was of no help, stating they didn't support anything except connecting via a SCSI card. Hell, they didn't even support OS X!

Long story short, I found a way to connect the SCSI scanner via FireWire, and now I'm back in business !!

Some oldies but goodies...

1. Congrats, and nice shots..
I like hearing of people overcoming bullcrap technical problems, it's what I did for a living for a long time.

Firewire to SCSI converter?

Canon makes some outstanding products but their customer service is somewhat lacking sometimes.

3. This little device...

Not exactly cheap, but according to their website, they had tested it in the exact manner I wanted to use it.

The only problem is that I had to plug the firewire into the computer directly, and not another firewire device.

2. Those are beautiful shots!
Scan some more! :D

Once I have desk room around here, I want to get a MicroTek flatbed scanner. The review I read for both the i800 and the i900 looks like they are one of the best quality brands for photographers.
