Translucent feathers on a Roseate Spoonbill

Well, it's been ages since I've posted anything, even though I have about 60,000 photos up on Flickr, so I thought I'd contribute a photograph while I still have a star.

5. Are you kidding? I post pictures all the time with impunity

and never ever one as startlingly beautiful as your pink bird. I don't see this as a competitive forum at all. We are a great bunch, diverse, and courteous and appreciative.
And I reserve my right to see it that way !

7. I know, it's a great group, and not really competitive. It's really more a matter of my

being a 'dumper' - I take shots of everything that interests me, and upload them all CC (never know when someone might need a blurry shot of a trash can) and in the process of ensuring the upload properly there, I end up forgetting the group.

Spoonbills are really beautiful birds. I tried for a whole morning to get a decent shot of them when I was in Florida four years ago, but they eluded me. You have my admiration of snapping such a shot!
