1. I don't want to say you should
because they're both fine shots. I prefer this one, but that's just me. I could see it getting a lot of votes. But same goes for the other.

How's that for a non-answer?

;-)

2. That's a great non answer!

I think tiredness is making me decide to leave the first one and go to bed.

3. very diplomatic
I'm more direct. I love the egg shot, but this one is great, and would get more votes, IMHO.

OTOH, can anyone really expect a straight answer from the competition??

Just something to contemplate......and one reason I haven't ever used a poll here. I haven't liked the poll results of other people. Why should I expect any better from my own?

Still, this one would get more votes. But, does one really want to win, with all that entails?

Decisions, decisions.

9. Mira, I'm a little picky
People interested enough in photography to post here probably are strongly opinionated.

I really think that my problems in contests have to do with not being experienced or skilled enough to snap winning photographs. That is fine, and I came here for motivation and for learning. However, mostly I think that I select the pictures that I have correctly. It is not that I think I am flawless on that count, but I think I am way better at that than the consensus here in this group.

And the photo in this thread will get a whole lot more votes than the egg photo.

4. I love the egg pic
especially because it represents farming in the way I remember it before the corporations took it over.

But this one is special!

5. Tough, tough decision. I am very enamored with the eggs shot because the
photo is so sharp and emotionally satisfying. This one, though, is exciting! And in my limited understanding of photography it is a harder one to achieve, and would be a bigger vote getter. I also love the crop and the sparks and the action and the danger and the colors and the blue jeans......I think you get the idea.

10. ARGHHHHHHHH
I bowed to popular peer pressure- in this forum and here at home- the sparks mesmerize people, I think.and the reflection from the rain on the concrete....

it is more of a WORKING shot than the eggs.

BUT

That egg photo remains one of my ALL TIME faves..........
