1. Spectacular as always

But I love the first and last one. The last one with the wonderful bike lockups juxtaposed against the old building and the blurred movement of the pedestrian is wonderful.

3. Favorites: 2 and 4

in shot two, if there were a little more of the gate and light through it on the left, and then a bit more of the right cropped off, you could include it in your next book of best of the best.
In the symmetry of shot 4 the bit of sunshine on the left simply leaves me breathless, once revisited at the "end of the tunnel". But I do want to see the crop as a complete symmetry.

I act like I know what I'm talking about, but by now you forgive me. :)
It's the old "I know what I like" phrase.... in action.

8. We scoff at an artist's eye at our peril.

You're right. I could have stepped to the left, crouched down and zoomed in just a bit. This was at 18mm (= 28.8 with a 1.6 sensor crop). Zooming in would have tamed the perspective distortion some too.

I've been trying to post naked (pardon the term). No cropping unless I have to rotate the photo to correct for a tipsy horizon, cautious processing in RAW with sometimes an orange or green virtual filter, then tweaking curves and sharpening in the Lightness channel after converting to Lab color in Photoshop. I'm in my Let It Be phase or something.

4. You have some interesting architecture in your parts

My favourites are 2,3 and 4. I like the symmetry in 4, and all the details in the doors and archway. Plus the look-through into the bright sunlight.

In 2, I like the asymmetry. The second one clearly could be symmetrical if someone would just push that gate open, but that would ruin the shot for me. I like that gate exactly where it is.

I absolutely love 3, with the uniformity of the arches and the little peak around into the open. It makes me want to peer around the corner to see what else is there.

9. Thank you. It's not Chicago by a long shot here

though Hogtown's possibly surpassed Chicago for population now, but there are some great buildings at U of T and scattered around town, sometimes in the strangest places. Funny how blocks and blocks of really weak architecture tune the eye to resonate when confronted with a really fine example of the art.

University of Toronto by any chance? It looks familiar except for that last building which I can't place.

Last building is the old Department of Household Science just below Avenue Road and Bloor.

And just to fill everyone in on the silly sounding Avenue Road, it was named that back when it was a country road that took people to the College Avenue in town. Just to complicate things, the College Avenue is now called University Avenue and another thoroughfare entirely was named College Street.
