1. That brings back some happy memories. The bells. The "sound of music."

Early morning crossing from Italy into Switzerland .. mountain pass... bells. The most beautiful sound I think I've ever heard. A man, a boy, and a dog (truth!) herding their cattle up to a mountain pasture and the cows were ringing their bells and the sound cascaded off the mountainsides. It was glorious!

2. So glad you are still enjoying my friend's pictures
you are one of the reasons I'm still posting them.
I get a kick out of them too, and they brighten my day. Their painterly quality, as you mentioned, makes me want to break out the brushes and the oils.

3. That is some drop off there.

4. That's exactly how I felt driving some of the mountainside roads ...
... where you'd look directly down into some valley while hoping a truck didn't come the other way on the one-and-a-half-lane road (with no guard rail).
