Red mile barn
This is at a harness track in Lexington Ky. This track (The Red Mile) is about a mile south of the Camptown Races immortalized by Stephen Foster in "Camptown Ladies." The ladies in that song must have been beautiful, even Jefferson Davis remarked about the women that passed his home about a half mile from the track. He said the most beautiful women in the world pass by his room.

What you see are Sulkies, the cart behind trotters. There's other carts and carriages in there.

1. What a cool old building! I especially like shot #3.
Something about the light and shapes is very appealing in B&W.

3. #3 is my favorite too
A Democratic dinner was being set up for later in the day. That's how I got access.

5. Damn, alfredo!
The third shot is something just "other" - I got tears in my eyes when I looked at it. Print it, frame it and be prepared to sell a lot of copies.

9. Love the third
Like everyone else, I really love the third one. I particularly like the rough alignment of all the wheels.

10. Thanks. I noticed my best Wabi Sabi came after the contest. But that is the
real reason for our contests: to make us better photographers.
