1. No feedback on this? I really liked the interplay of light/shadow, forms, and color on this one.

2. this is actually beautiful
Sometimes people just forget to respond. I don't think it is a knock on the picture or anything. Well, I hope not because I seem to remember some no response threads that I started.

One thing that I love about this is the way the light shines on the ceiling from the windows at the top. I don't think I have ever seen that in a church--not that I go into lots of churches. So, I am not sure if the qualities that I like in your picture have more to do with the church itself, or the particular way you took the picture. In any case, this is really nice subject matter and you did a great job showing it off.

3. Thankyou Celebration! I apologize for fishing for comments...
I am just really enamored with this shot, and wondered if anyone else liked it. Thankyou for taking the time to respond, as I understand everyone is busy. Plus, there really isn't always anything to say, other than "I like it too." :)

Thanks again for humoring me. :D

4. My dear Adsos Letter!
Wow, this is wonderful...

Usually churches are too damn dark for really good pics.

But you got lucky. This is both well lit and with some really interesting shapes!

I love it!

Thanks for sharing, sweetie...

5. Good on you, as Thom Hartman would say to prod us into saying something.
I did not look long enough to notice the subleties, honestly.
Now, being asked to look again, I see what you are saying, and appreciate the simplicity, the beautiful perspective, and the more I look, the more I groove with it.

As a young person in Germany I studied with an architect.
My early independent job-missions were to crawl over the attics of a famous huge old church in Augsburg, a city so old it was named for Caesar Augustus of the birth of Christ fame, a church Martin Luther visited, and with measurements and photographs (how digital would have helped!) create floor plans.

I therefore have a penchant for old church ceilings, when yours did not have gold inlays, I simply went on.
So here you have too much info, but feedback and a little story to boot.
