1. My dear JeffR!
I love these!

The tower on that fire station... I know why it's that tall, but it's so out of proportion! Not aesthetic at all!

The street scenes are so full of life...

And I love the colors in your sunset pic...

Thanks for sharing!

:hi:

2. Thanks, Peggy!
Ironically, that fire station nearly burned down in 1972.

3. You're welcome!
Oh, now, that is just too funny!

Who ever heard of a fire station burning down???

I'm glad they were able to stop it!

4. I've never seen a Fire Station
with a sign tht reads "Hose Station". Why does that crack me up?

6. It does sound silly
I think one of the purposes of the tall tower was to dry out hoses after use, so that may be the source of the name.

7. Thanks. It was a close call with that one.
You'd be shocked how few people jaywalk here. Drivers get all discombobulated when they see someone standing in the middle of the street, especially someone with a camera.

8. I can visualize you standing in the middle of the street in photo one, which is
a telling study of that dangerous traffic hour, if you don't turn your lights on at the right time.
I like to study all your city photos, so much going on.
That possible pool shark's car with the rackemup license plate is a great catch. I find the fire "hose" station fascinating as well.
A great look at parts of your city.
