2. Wonderful colors...
and slightly odd perspective, I think from the very even light.

3. The colors
the incongruity of the woman (with the colors) and therefore the sharp focus on her, the way the paint of the trim stops on top of the (possibly way more ancient walls than the rest of the buildings) the way that leaning piece of fencing is the same color of the supporting base wall -
all of those things are ways this makes is one of my personal favorites of what you have shown.

I LOVE THIS>

I would like to paint it in oils.

5. No, it would be MY honor.
(if you like, I'll send you a photo of a painting, 6'x 30", I did of the Panamanian highway and drops in the earth alongside of it in Ecuador. I almost sold it for a 1000 bucks, then the buyer backed out)

7. OK - just between us

the road, as I'm sure you know curves along the ridge of the abyss. Not the greatest photo of the painting, I don't know what weird mottling shows up in the mountain, but at least it will give you an idea that I have held a brush.

8. I've spend many hours on roads like that.
Beautiful and surreal painting. Makes me want to go back to Ecuador.
I truly look forward to seeing what you do with the photo.

14. Thanks very much,
actually I had no business posting that here,
but since it was a painting I did after returning from Ecuador, I wanted to prove to Richard D that I had what it might take to turn the basics of his photo into an acceptable painting.

I had hoped the thing would roll off into the night.

It's just a landscape based on what it looked like to me.

That "simple" photo gives you stuff to look at for a looong time.

16. That is a unique
and very fine work of art. Echoes, resonances, contrasts, symmetries and asymmetries, balance and imbalance, and nothing there that should not be there.
