Lucky you, to have been there.

4. I live in the area
Filoli isn't much of a drive from where I live.

5. I used to live in the area too...
Grew up in San Jose, lived in Palo Alto after my marriage, and then moved to Livermore...Now in SoCal...

I think we saw Filoli after we'd moved south!

6. I have been there for the daffodils in the spring
The wisteria is fabulous. I climbs clear to the top (3-story) floor of the mansion. The base of the vine is as thick as a tree trunk. The gardens are fabulous as you photos show, and the mansion itself is beautiful. I particularly liked the kitchen. It made me think I was in Gosford Park.

10. The last one is one of the best flower photos I've seen here
It would be nice to see a version in black & white, but the color is gorgeous.

14. Not sure I could pick a
favorite. Love the wisteria and yellow roses though. Would love the see them closer up. Must add this place to my want to visit list.

Answered under the tulips to say not sure if color or black and white is better but both are beautiful in their own right. You did a great job of converting them to black and white.
