4. Wow! I really like these.
I was at a car show the other week and also took tail light photos, but I never thought to get as close as yours. Gosh, I really like this perspective! And . . . red is my favorite color!

7. I had the 100mm macro mounted, since I was trying to get some
late season flowers. It's remarkable how the most mundane things look so different in isolation. Or as Blue_In_AK once put it, "Even the simplest things become extraordinary."

8. A lucky guess is all. My iffy 50mm eyes couldn't see them
the way the 100mm (160mm, functionally) could. It's a good thing I walk around looking through a viewfinder sometimes.
