Hi, everybody. Need help selecting a new camera

Haele and I came into some money, and we'd like to replace our lost digital camera. We're basically looking for the best camera we can get for under $300. I figured you folks were the ones to ask.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Oh, what we'll use it for: candid family shots, pics of pets, pics of items to sell on eBay and Craigslist, that sort of thing. Nothing professional.

We don't have to spend up to $300. If there's a solid camera that will do the job for much less, we're happy with that, too.

1. I bought this camera last December and I'm very, very happy with it:

Panasonic Lumix DMC ZS3 -- it does HD video too. I paid less than $300 for it...takes beautiful photos :-) Good luck with your search!!

2. I have a Nikon Coolpix L22 that's inexpensive but turns out good pictures.

I think it will do exactly what you need it to do for much less than &300.

the Exchange is selling them for $105, plus we've got a discount card. Next weekend. I'll stop back in and let you know what we think.

5. I got mine at the Exchange here. I did the Rubber Band photos with it.

Don't know about the S6000.

I have the L11...discontinued now...and the Nikon D40 SLR as well
