1. I like these, JeffR.
It looks like a cozy neighborhood.

Nicely done with the sprinkle of color sandwiched between grey sky and street.

Spooky mannequins!

4. Thanks! Those mannequins keep drawing me back.
I'm sure Freud would have a theory about this, but I don't want to know it.

3. Sweet!
Perfect lighting and colors in those street scenes. They definitely draw in the viewer. Something makes them feel larger than they actually are. They look a bit magical.

6. Magical is just how I think of the area
fragrant with Indian food, music coming from a dozen storefronts, women in saris of eye-popping color. Wish there were a way to get the sounds and smells into a photograph too.

Thanks!

8. It is moody there.
Every four or five feet along the sidewalks, the mood changes, the sights and sounds and smells shift and a whole new little world opens up to the camera. It's a sort of nirvana.

12. The best photographers...
...never "force" the shot.

Some great examples, JeffR, as always.

Again, there is some incredible talent in this forum.

This is DU's most valuable artistic asset ever.

15. Gamey, that's very kind,
I agree with you about this forum. I wouldn't still be on DU if it weren't for the Photo Group. It's the best.
