These don't touch the many ways imaginable of course... they're what I have from one hour and a bit in the old downtown of Las Vegas. Downtown is where the action used to be, before the Las Vegas Blvd. aka "The Strip" was built.
Downtown are seedy casinos, where the locals play for a dollar a hand at blackjack. Where in the 4 Queens Casino there is a 5 star restaurant in a corner of the cellar where you can't touch an entree for under about 50 bucks. Next to a restaurant where you can have a really fine 12 oz. prime rib dinner for 9.95.
It's easy to eat cheap in Vegas, because the casinos make their money on the players staying drunk (no payment required for unlimitid amounts of mixed drinks brought to your specifications by a scantily clad, always quite beautiful woman - and if you give her a dollar chip for it she is verbally grateful) and staying filled up on quick cheap food.
Downtown Vegas is where you find, and I kid you not, DRIVE THROUGH windows where you can get married.
I did not have enough time to go and chronicle that for you.
I realize the last two are repeats, but once I saw them on a monitor with size they were the better pictures.
Thanks everybody for your indulgence, which I grab with the same kind of courage I take some of the photos.
There will be one more, with straggler favorites of mine that don't fit a category.
But that can wait.
