1. My dear Alfredo,
I cannot talk about it intelligently just yet.
I consider it a lens for portraits, and for things that are fixed focus and require forethought and deliberation. None of what I've done in the last couple of weeks since I got it were appropriate.

I did not even take it with me to Vegas. Though I did travel with my telephoto 100-300 for the first time in my life. And I used it for a short shooting segment from a balcony in the "Freemont Street Experience" in the Old Las Vegas.

I today took what I'll probably enter for "Autumn" and forgot I had it, when it would have been a good thing to use.

Thanks for asking.
I am so ignorant, but I'm inching up thanks to questions like yours.

2. I remember the days when that was all I had. A zoom was
a revelation.

BTW, Thriller night is on Oct30 in Lexington. It is the halloween for drunk adults. Several dance troops/schools recreate MJ's thriller. There is also a parade. It starts at a local movie house, and ends at the Farmer's Market. I will take photos.

I looked through your images and loved them. I didn't know what lens you used so I decided to ask.

3. Thank you for looking at my stuff. It was almost all done with the
regular 18-55 that comes with my Sony Alpha 500 camera. I'm not thrilled with the images I got from the balcony with my 100-300. They are not sharp enough to suit me, but I feel certain it's operator ignorance. The only one I think I posted was the superman shot.

I look forward to your "thriller" reportage. I suspect there will be shots of moon-walking drunks as shown by Alfredo?!

4. Zooms, unless you shell out a lot of money, may not
give the best results. With any zoom, holding the camera steady is the problem.

Here was a tool I used with my Takumar 80~250 zoo: a 90 degree mirror. Many of the locals where I lived believed cameras stole the soul.
