I'm hung up photographing leaves in the last week or so. I know all of you can feel with me when a pre-cccupation hits, we carry the camera in and come back for it within less than a minutes, there is always more to try.

I took these when it was raining very hard.

Please pull me into some reality, when I get pre-occupied I have no clue what's good when it comes to my own stuff.
Now that I look at them I don't like any of them except the first one, really.

I have others.
Maybe tomorrow.

Thanks!

1. I truly hope that you
NEVER quit posting your photos. I always learn something by observing your work.

These are great shots, and I especially like shot #2, but my favorite is the last photo. The boldness of some colors against the muted colors along with the sharpness on some of the leaves contrasting against the faded leaves creates such a great photo!

2. The more I look at the first one, the more it seems to acquire depth,
in a Jackson Pollocky? kind of way!

The second one is the epitome of wetness. Is that your reflection I see in it?

I really like the third one, with its milky white, ice-like background nicely setting off the variously colored leaves.

I can see how you could get hung up on photographing them.

3. I absolutely love
the last one. The background almost makes it look like the leaves are embedded in ice.

After the last storm went through, the leaves around my home are just muddy looking !

4. I'm so jealous of all that color
My nasty little pine needles just don't do that. Toss a coin for the autumn contest entry. They are all great.

5. I'm so envious of all the vegetables and wine where you live.
Could we house swap for a while?

10. Sounds good to me.
You have to feed the kitties, though.

Really, I've never had a cat.

12. Easy peasy
Plunk food down and then disappear because they hate strange people. You will never see them.

6. #2 is quite nice, but # 3 I can easily see framed as an extremely nice print.
Honestly. That white background is what really sets off the boldness of the colors.

7. Can I? When the photos are as good as these, the answer is: Hell, yes.
The last one is instantly one of my favorites of yours.

8. I agree with everyone else
I like them all but #3 is spectacular.

If the wind ever gets below 60 MPH here I'll try some similar shots. I love the way you see the world.

9. Everybody! Thank you so much, I'm honored. You like them, you really really like them.
(with a little nod to Sally Fields)

Now I will consider the third one for the contest, though I have two more I like better. Maybe.
I might make it a poll.

Thanks all.
So much.
