Moss removal from stone wall, any suggestions?
During the last storm, a tree that was shading a stone wall next to you house fell on our house. That mess is now cleared away and the wall is now totally exposed and it is covered with a mess of moss growth. Is there an easy way to get this stuff off or will the fact that it is now exposed to the sunlight dry it enough to scrape off easily? Anyone have any thoughts? The wall has a flat top and cemented stones, it is about 5 feet high and very stable, not loose boulders.

1. It will bake in the sun, but you can make it go away faster with a pressure washing

3. If you don't mind using chemicals
You might want to check your garden center for moss killer. I live in the world capital of moss and it's pretty readily available here. I've also heard that you can spray moss with a water and bleach solution to kill it. I think I would try killing it before trying to remove it, unless your site is really sunny. Moss is pretty tough stuff.

6. I saved this recipe from some green publication.
Haven't tried it myself yet, but it's certainly worth a try:

Organic recipe for a plant killer. It will kill everything it touches much like Round Up will.

1 cup of salt
1 gallon of white vinegar
9 drops of liquid soap

Mix salt and vinegar. Heat until salt is dissolved. Cool until room temperature, then add soap. Pour into a spray bottle and spray onto plant. The plant will look like it is dying, but it is only weakened. Spray it when it looks sick, and then spray it again.
