2. Hiya, Crispi!
I think one of the main reasons it flopped is people don't like being told what they're supposed to be thinking.

We picked up a temporary roommate this past weekend. Years ago, when he first lived in the DC area Jonathan Alter was one of his roommates. Jonathan may have found out he's back and is now pulling his hair out in fear of the stories our new roomie is telling us. ;)

Hey Mabus
There's a sports blog I follow called My Teams Are Cursed. He's a Cleveland sports fan so most of the time he's complaining about Cleveland teams always losing the prize, but he's also a fan of some college teams, including the Jayhawks.

I guess he's going to have to rename his blog. Here's part of what he posted a while back:

It's all over. My demons have been exorcised. 32 years of frustration have all melted away with a flick of Mario Chalmers wrist. This just doesn't happen to my teams. It doesn't. MY TEAMS are the ones that choke away a nine point lead with 2:12 left. MY TEAMS are the ones that don't make the insurmountable leads disappear. MY TEAMS are the one that experience excruciating heartbreak. But you know something. For once in my life and for once in this crazy, ridiculous world we live in, the good guys won and karma was on our side.

Good thing he had Karma to help...you don't wanna get on her bad side.

145. We all worked our respective mojo at the same time
;)

It was an incredible game. It seemed like a dream when we came back with so little time left. And then that shot. That miracle shot. On several of the sports forums I've been hanging around it is called "the shot heard 'round the world". We've been calling them "Mario and the Overtimes". Back in '88 we called our Championship team "Danny and the Miracles".

I have been positively giddy. The only time I've been as happy (or almost as happy) was the first time that the Admiral told me he loved me.

"The recipes have apparently been pulled, but you can see them, at least for now, in Google Cache: Farfalle Pasta with Turkey Sausage, Peas, and Mushrooms, Rosemary Chicken Breasts and Warm Spinach Salad with Bacon, Passion Fruit Mousse, Mixed Fruit Tart, Crab Scampi and Whole Wheat Spaghetti, Ahi Tuna with Napa Cabbage Slaw."

The only thing I'd dare eat from that is the Rosemary chicken and the spinach salad. The rest seem to scream "Roughage."

because Cindy looks like she could use a good, strong laxative.

As if anyone would believe these were passed down through the family. Did our grandparents know from Ahi Tuna? I think not.

One of his employers screwed up his taxes, and he ended up owing over $1200. He filed for an extension today, and did send some of it in, but no way do we have the money to pay all of it.

I've filed extensions the last 4 years, and didn't pay until I filed. All they do is charge you interest on the balance due... and it's minimal, something like 2%. My accountant said that they really don't go after you unless you look like you're trying to hide something.
