1. Hi Sharon.
I wrote Keef telling him that he was the one guy who could do justice to Don Knotts and Darren McGavin.

RIP, gentlemen, and Dennis Weaver too.

113. That was sad
My dad had a "McCloud" coat. Even wore it with a hat he bought in Mexico. I wish I could remember the name of it. It was similar to what we call a cowboy hat but not shaped that much, and had a small tassle on the back. It was a style of hat worn in the part of Mexico we used to travel to.

It's perfect:

"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron." H.L. Mencken, circa 1920

65. yeah it was
but it's warped in the first place. Neo-Cons seek to promote certain ideals. Some of them are just overt warmongers who advocate economic imperialism and seek to enforce an armed peace on the world by sheer strength. The promotion of Democracy and free markets are good ideas. Doing it by a gun and for selfish reasons is just pure folly, if not downright evil. Bush and Cheney aren't real Neo-Cons. Bush is more of a tool and Cheney is a greedy lout.

61. Fukuyama is an interesting character in this mix
He's a definite academic, who believes in certain tenets. Wilsonian and idealistic in many ways. He doesn't totally fit in with the blood and guts Neo-con types. Nor does he fit in with the Unbelievers like Cheney who is mainly a Neo-Con for neo-liberal reasons. Fukuyama is someone who is a true believer in the promotion of democracy and free markets in the world. Not free markets in the sense that corporate multinationals should be allowed to run wild on the world. What he believes is what is called "the end of history." In winning the Cold War, the U.S. has won the debate that Democracy and Capitalism are indisputably the best ideologies. That the world will eventually convert to them. So he seeks to promote freedom and liberty etc. He's not necessarily a war monger, not the way Cheney, Rumsfeld or Bush, who isn't really a Neo-Con but mainly an empty suit who follows the vision of the Unbelievers. Fukuyama is not innocent in this by any means. He's just not the same type of rat that say Dick Cheney is. I should mention I have been published on the Project For The New American Century and have studied Neo-Cons pretty in depth for several years now.

80. This stupid bill pisses me off
My sister-n-law is gay and she and her partner raised her partner's daughter into a wonderful young woman who married and now has a child of her own.

Sunni is a well-rounded, sweet person who was raised by 2 good, decent women. This bill needs to be struck down. Damn these whack-job repugs need to go away!!!

100. yeah I'm a fan of all sports
competing in a great many too. That's how I know who Keith is, I used to be a Sportscenter devotee. I actually went to college in Seattle mainly because I'm a huge fan of the Mariners and Sonics. :)

114. That's where I first met Keith and Dan Patrick
on Sportscenter. I loved watching the two of them, especially during baseball season. I've been a HUGE baseball fan since I was little...thanks to my dad who was and still is a Cincinnati Reds fan. I was too during the 70's --the years of the "Big Red Machine".

He and Dan were and still are "En Fuego!"

117. When MacGwire and Sosa where duking it out...
this late-blooming baseball fan discovered that Roger Maris had never been elected to the HOF. Even knowing this I thought that Minnie Minoso could not possibly be passed over. Shows what I know! And then they go one further and admit a career criminal! Now there is no logical reason to exclude Shoeless Joe Jackson and Pete Rose!

105. it be so easy for Bill if
he would just shut up for once. Instead he messes with guys like KO and Al Franken. Yeah, that's smart, mess with the guys who make fun of people and crack jokes for a living. :) Those boys are quick, it's best to not get in a war of words with people like that.

Another great show, I must say! :) Unfortunately, When KO was over, I didn't hit the "stop" button before I saw Rita for about 2 seconds.:puke:
I guess she's still employed.
