Linking to my post in GD, which has a link to the article. I was impressed.

1. Awesome article. It was also linked on this blog
http://www.reclusiveleftist.com/?p=685

In it is a very upsetting 20/20 segment about a woman whose sick husband beat her and forced their son to film it. Dr. Violet's comment is that if it featured a naked woman and a man ejaculating it would be porn and you would see a lot of feminists defending it as 'free expression' and 'choice'.

2. I'll have to check that out --
I think there is this idea in our society that sexual expression, in all its forms, is somehow our highest calling as human beings. I think that's really damaging.

Sex is just one part of our lives, and not all that big a part in reality, but it has become the sacred cow of Western society, and now it's expected to be the focal point of almost everything - television, advertising, conversation, books, most media.

I think it's a distraction tactic to keep us from doing more important things.

---Some folks are deeply deluded. . I think I'm going to read the book. I do a lot of reading, and I'm hoping a male perspective will interesting, although I don't exactly expect new information.

4. Pornography is simply propaganda against females; intended to demean and depower females.
A good article -- but porn gets boring once you've seen the extent of it --
it changes only in the increased violence against females --
and it exists for those who thrive on debasing females.
