fear women much?
Anyone see the new "product" being advertised on DU's homepage?

The "Hillary Nutcracker" . . . :puke:

Of course I guess it does illustrate the real reason why so many men HATE Hillary Clinton. Fear. Plain and simple.

Newsflash guys: Real men don't fear being emasculated by a strong woman.

I wonder if there's any way to get admin to remove that offensive piece of garbage from our website?

1. Not Likely

If past attitude is any kind of predicator, you have about a 0% chance.

3. WTF is something like that doing on DU?
I find the whole idea of a Hillary Nutcracker blatantly sexist. I would expect to see something like that advertised on Drudge, Freep-central or News Max... but Democratic Underground?!?!

I really wish the admins would get that thing off the front page.

4. My definition of emasculation
with help from a coworker: It's not legal for you to beat us up anymore if we're married, you have to compete with us for jobs, and thanks to not being legal to pay us half for lacking a penis we don't have to put up with physical and verbal abuse from a husband to survive. :nopity:

I was really surprised to see that advertised, I just rolled my eyes.

5. I didn't see this thread
I saw one in women's rights that was deleted I think because of the subject line, which was intended to show how offensve it would be if put in racist terms. That was offensive enough, it got deleted. Which is ironic.

Anyway, not realizing there was a thread here, I posted in GD politics. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x3593299

7. God
I just checked out the threads on it. What part of offensive is not getting through? Why is this considered funny? Why do I suddenly not have "a sense of humor" because I find it a dumb ass product in the first place? Would a castrated Republican doll make the cut? (Get yer Ball-less Fred Thompson right here)

I'm not fan of Senator Clinton, but a surprising number of working class men I know have said they plan on voting for her. They just kind of blurt it out. These guys are damn near apolitical other than a general loathing of the waste of air in charge, and from what I can understand, they like her because she is a "Strong women". They would find this item hilarious because that's how they think--balls=strength=masculinity.

The other type, I'm thinking of one man I know, is a right wing libertarian NUT, who HATES Senator Clinton, who actually told me about this item, also finds it hilarious.

I would like to say I expect better of some of the men and women on DU, but I've learned not to, unfortunately.

8. It's so obvious too.
The test of whether or not it is sexist is, if it was one of the male candidates would it still be funny? Would it be funny for the same reasons or in the same way?

If the answer to either of those questions is No, then it's sexist.

I think a huge number of people on DU are sexist idiots.

9. Romney as a nutcracker, with the teeth in his mouth -- how funny would that be?
Why, that would imply that he was gay or something and that wouldn't be right.
:sarcasm:

Clinton has scared weak-minded people for years simply because she is a smart and accomplished woman. Let' not forget that she didn't adopt that surname until having a wife using her own name was too limiting politically.
