"'What's peace?' I said.

"' An idea you have when there's a war on, to make you fight well.
An idea that gets lost when there isn't war.'

Written in 1946 by Elizabeth Bowen, from a collection of short stories published under the title: Ivy Gripped the Steps.

This is a dialogue going on between a 7 years old girl and her dad. He is back from War and can't find his way, to go on, in the married life. He took her on a car ride. For a brief moment he tries to share with his daughter what he was longing for when he was on the frontlines.

Can we bring back the idea of peace on the front page? Everyday?
