and yeah, I'd love to have a collection of them, I was pretty much a scrapper after Nam and used to do Jail every other weekend, knew the whole fingerprinting/photo drill - hell, I'd show the NEWBIE cops how to fingerprint me..

If I'd SMILED at the camera (and I tried believe me) they will beat the shit out of you.

This is an outrage, and I really don't even believe that it's legal. In Hawaii they let you smile while getting your license photo shot, but in other states I've been told NOT to smile.

I wonder what the LAW is about smiling during Mugshots, seriously, this should be investigated.
