2. no.. I'm a pessimist and I feel the bush crime family will play their
final trump card--------> " Martial Law" and suspend the 06' elections thereby keeping the status quo.. We will return America over when the war on terror is over.
The crime family has too much to lose allowing the elections to go forward. Loss of both Houses and an endless
stream of "inquires" into past lies, mis truths and murders.
jmho...

7. I am in reluctant agreement.
If not in '06 then in '08 though '06 would probably make more sense from Bush Reich's perspective. The allusion to Nazi Germany is of course the point. That terrible history is not long past, and it would appear we have not learned from it.

“Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

George Santayana, 1863 - 1952

3. I seriously believe
that the world as we know it will soon cease to exist. This has to do with spiritual predictions, but also the fact that I don't think anything will be done about global warming until we are past the tipping point.

I chose no for this reason. Unless nuclear war gets us first.

Why, oh why, is humanity so stupid and short-sighted???

Edited to add: this will be the new Plague. A huge percentage of humans will die off, which I think will eventually bring the planet back to equilibrium.

10. Very good point ...
Unfortunately, most Americans don't recognise your logic so you're
outvoted (and, in the process, designated as "the non-we who will
not survive the next few years").

Personal vote is that "we" (i.e., the human race en masse) do not deserve
to survive the next few minutes never mind years. Sadly, the people who
least deserve to live will continue to do so while those innocents who are
merely fellow travellers on this planet will perish in their millions to
satisfy the greed of the "leaders".

11. Yes. I do. As a wise child once said...
"I still believe that people are really good at heart."

Badness cannot exist forever.

12. G W Bush is a noxious pimple on democracy's butt..dear God, someone should
pinch it and squeeze out the puss so we can move on. Until then, I refuse to take those bastards seriously enough to believe they can steal my country. They are NOT AMERICA!!!!! Not while I draw breath.

16. And because of people like us, they will never win....
This country means too much to me and you and Bosshog and Matcom and Skittles and Newyawker and Jitterbug, and Proudpatriot and Arwalden and PlainAdder and NSMA and WillPitt. None of us are going to give up anytime soon.

People like you give me strength to believe. Thanks for more than you know....

13. what do you mean by "survive"?
I will probably not maintain my current standard of living.

I will probably not maintain my current level of freedom.

But I'll survive and so will my family.

17. I agree, I think we will go through a depression and it will change US
from a hegemonic superpower, to a failed state coming back.
Unless there's a wild card. Like the IT boom.

So, if we get broken so badly that we throw off corporatism -big oil and all. Then maybe we can develop alternative energy and not be hostages any longer.

He is a tin-pot tyrant wannabe.
