All Of Our Problems Have Been Solved
Wayne Allard (R-CO) had just announced on Cspan (Washington Journal, 6/6/06, 8:00AM) that the reason the Republicans are able to focus their attention on Gay Marriage is that they have already fixed all the other problems. As an example he mentioned that they had just taken care of the immigration issue last week.

Did you hear that whooshing sound as 20 million citizens of Mexico went home on friday?

2. And what about The Paris Hilton Tax?
Do we really want the Repukes to have time to work on some of their plans that might actually stand a chance of PASSING?

Maybe we shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Maybe we should be glad they're too busy debating this to do MORE harm to the country.

The rules say we HAVE to debate this for TWO DAYS at LEAST!

3. Wayne Allard: Tapdancing Bigot
I have never in my life wanted to smack a smug, self-righteous lying face so badly as I did this cretin. Blah blah blah librul courts. Blah blah blah ballot box. Blah blah blah blah pander. And these callers. Gawd gave us marriage. Gawd Gawd Gawd Jebus Jebus Jebus.

I heard the figure on another c-span program last night that into the 1950's, 96% of white Americans were against interracial marriage. So, majority rules, no interracial marriage? No. Of Course not. But now the majority rules against gays.

"What is your religion sir?" Well the polls say blah.

Someone points out how marriage has changed over the years, and it has. 200 years ago, it was pretty much an exchange of property. Today, people would be sickened. 100 years ago, interracial marriage was illegal in a LOT of places. Womens' equality in marriage? Changing of vows to remove "obey" from the "Gawd Given" marriage covenant? ETC. ad inf. Allard just ignored it. Fucking asshat.

How about this, Allard...most Americans support the right of women to choose whether to get abortions. Are ya going to just let that go by and let the "polls" take care of it? I doubt it. Two faced, lying hypocritical bigot.
