The frenzy over Al Zarqawi exposes Bush's incompetance in Iraq...
The fact that they have hinged so much of the perceived success or failure of the war on the killing of ONE MAN, just shows what a fucked up mess Bush has created.

It's like if the goal of WWII had been simply to kill Hitler...

One man is always replaceable...and I don't think this will affect the level of violence one iota.

2. killing hitler might have won the war
Edited on Thu Jun-08-06 07:15 PM by Bush in Berkeley
as he was an icon and was leading a traditional military force. Zarqawi on the other hand was set up by his own men ( http://www.cnn.com/ ) , and wasn't that respected by Osama anyway. The best historical equivalent would be killing Rommel, or some other general. Basically, we haven't won the war, nor will we :( Peace!

edited to add: comparing Zarqawi to Hitler gives the former too much credit. That was my point.

3. Apparently there is some doubt that he had anything to with UBL
or anybody else. So, it appears that they have intentionally inflated the importance of the guy to make it seem as if they are "making good progress". It's pathetic isn't it?
