Just met Mercedes Maharis at the local Hastings (Sierra Vista, Az)

She made the movie "Cries From The Border" about the problem in Cochise County with illegals. She stopped me as I walked by because of my shirt with Geronimo and other Apaches on it with the line "Homeland Security, Fighting Terrorism Since 1492". She seemed nice but my gut told me she was repub. I asked her what the point of view of her movie was and she said it was interviews with all sides, from illegals to ranchers to Border Patrol. I mentioned that I have had many illegals walk through my property (I've owned it for 30 years) and she said she'd interview me in her next movie. I also landed a construction job at her home building a guest house. "A fortuitous meeting" she called it. Wait til she sees my "Jail to the Chief" bumper sticker.
