Where does "Crashcart" come from for Cheney's nickname?

Where does "Crashcart" come from for Cheney's nickname?
I've seen it many times and it cracks me up, but where does it come from?

8. The crashcart is what the ER docs yell for when someone codes.
Defrib, eppy, it's all there on a cart called a "crashcart" to jump start someone whose heart has "crashed."

It's a cart, rolls around, usually carries a defibrillator, ambu bag and a bunch of meds and IV equipment and other implements to get someone breathing/beating again.

I think they call it a crash cart because they always got slammed around in the heat of the moment, but they are probably in truth so named because they are used when a patient "crashes."
