How many people did you call when Leopold's story first came out?

Many of us read the story at first, believed it, took out the champaigne bottles, called several friends, told them the news... ...and now we look like fools.

that is why Leopold needs to "make good" now. He needs to either out his sources, like he promised, or apologize, or make some kind of explanation beyond speculation, or he should be fired.

Personally I called a couple people and told them the news when the story came out. Now I look like an idiot and the next time I call them with some kind of breaking news they'll just raise their eyebrows.

In fact it goes beyond that. My credibility overall is affected, with anyone I told about the Rove indictment. I might try to explain something that is going on in election reform to someone now, and if I had told that person a month ago that Rove was being indicted, they might not believe what I'm saying about election reform either.

The net affect of this debacle is that for anyone who passed on the Leopold story to others, OUR credibility is affected now.

I guess the answer is for everyone to just keep our mouths shut in the future and just let things play out.

I still fall into the trap once in a while. But that June 7, 2006 Iran bombing and Karl being indicted, I kept my mouth shut.

I just comment on things here now for the most part.

6. I Learned From November 2004

I didn't tell a soul. After I cried about the election Fraud, and told everyone I knew that Shrub didn't really win, I looked like a boob. When everyone was speculating last year that Fitz was going to issue 20 indictments, I again spouted about it, only to look like a fool.

This time I said nothing, knowing full well that in the end we would be losers, like we always were. True to form, history repeated itself, and the left wing got their hopes dashed again.

I know now that if you want to be on the winning team, and be able to claim victory, you have to be a repub. Then you can lie and spin all you want, and will be proven correct in the end, even if you were completely full of shit. Only the liberals are unable to get away with that sort of thing.
