If any Democrats support Bush when he ignores Supreme Court decision...
Edited on Thu Jun-29-06 08:30 PM by kentuck
I will have two options. I can leave the Party or I can work to throw these traitors out of the Party and clean house. They have no business supporting Bush on anything when his polls are 37%. What the hell are they afraid of? I hope they don't pull his nuts out of the fire...

On edit:

What the hell are we fighting for if these suckers are so quick to give up? If they are not going to help us, screw 'em!

1. They especially shouldn't be supporting him
when he knowingly sought to exceed his authority when they should have been the ones making the decision. I'm expecting a great quote from Feingold or Kerry saying something like, "You acted without first consulting us, and now that you're in trouble you're coming to us looking for support? Mr. President, you can go fuck yourself." It probably won't be that good, but they still need to send the message that if Bush wanted their support he shouldn't have violated their authority.

2. I am still trying to comprehend all the democrats that support Lieberman
When George Bush kissed Lieberman on the cheek during his 2005 State of the Union Address he should have been tossed out of the party but Joe's strongest supporters are:

Sentator Hillary Clinton
Senator Barack Obama
Charles Schumer, the head of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee
Senator Joseph Biden

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THESE DEMOCRATIC SENATORS?

3. Leave the party locally.*
Support it nationally.

For now.

*By "leave" I mean steer away from the canned Democrat. Choose the erstwhile challenger in the primary. You can always go back to canned goods in the general. E.g., I'll support Mark Wilson over Maria Cantwell in the primary. If need be, I'll support Cantwell over McGavick in the general.

4. 'Give up' isn't the right word for it
An active collaborationist may be many other things, but not a quitter.

5. worse than give up. They are great impediments to progress sometimes.
However, take not that here in ca, a very progressive woman, marcy winograd, ran for congress against jane harman, a republican lite incumbent for 20 years. Harman won, but so many votes went to marcy that Harman is changing her positions. She actually calls marcy and consults with her. She got the messaage that her constituents would not keep on putting up with her voting for the war, among other things. They need to know we can replace them.

7. But nobody is afraid of the voters...
That needs to change. We have to show them that we are serious as a heart attack.

8. Why are you playing "what if" games?
What indication do you have that what you are talking about is or will happen?
