Bushflash.com will be shut down, within 30 days. :cry:

I'd like to think it can continue, but really- I can no longer spend the time required to keep this site live, with only my two hands, and one keyboard.

Bushflash is a quaint fossil- and after three years of hammering out everything I have to present to the american and worldwide public, I'm flat broke, and owe the IRS about 6 thousand bucks.

Such is life- excelsior, and dammit, we had a good run, while the times were darkest. When I started this site, there were but a handful of sites that dared to take this administration to task. Now, there are thousands, and I love every last one of them...

I'm an unemployed guy in New Jersey, and I reached an audience of millions...

I want each and every one of you to do the same....

4. seriously, this is crazy

There are plenty of people operating web sites as a business who would be happy with the traffic you are getting. You have an alexa traffic rank of 118,000... You should be able to make what you owe the IRS in about six months in revenues using fastclick, casale, burst, adsense, etc.

You really should re-think this and explore why you are not able to make a profit on the site. Yeah, it will have a shelf life because of the name obviously, but I'd say it's too soon to pull the plug on Bush related sites.

After Symbolman and myself, Blumrich was the only other guy who dove head-first into political Flash animation. In a lot of ways, he took what Sym and I established to another level - while my Flash was somewhat more emotionally restrained and Sym's were more scholarly and info-packed, Blumrich brought the rage.

With BushFlash joining TBTM in going silent (although TBTM remains online as an archive our Sym's and my work), it's hard to tell where the political Flash art form is going to go. I guess it's down to folks like DU's Ava to carry the torch.

39. Oh, we're not silent, just getting a little more deadly :)

big things coming up at TBTM, we've rolled over into films (which got locked up in legal limbo for a while, and making them takes longer than flash), BUT there's some more flash coming from TBTM that should get some folks extremely interested - we've hooked into a major target which could lead to some battles in the corp VS Culture scene.

TBTM's going to be updated, reworked, and we're even at the moment hosting a lot of the Libby Plame court filings (which is also costing us an arm and a leg, we sure know what you mean by being broke Eric, and sorry to hear it too..)

Maybe TBTM could host some of Eric's work to make sure it doesn't leave the websphere, he's got some goodies that shouldn't go to the wayside.

AS, we'll have to jaw, just got back from a two week trip where we captured some footage for a project that you wouldn't believe, and about a subject that EVERYONE is interested in, another angle to blindside Bush Admin.

Sorry to hear about the troubles Eric, we'll help where we can.
