9. A few years ago I was advised to listen to Neil Young by

a couple of young outcasts living in and dealing dope out of a VW van. They had a pit bull and I commented (favorably) on the dog, etc., and the conversation wandered onto music and I told them I hadn't paid much attention or seen much worthwhile since Phil Ochs killed himself. They told me I needed to listen to Neil, that the spirit had not died. They were right.

And, as a bonus, apart from putting the whole album online (listen again if you haven't heard it recently), he has put together a treasure trove of links to other truthtelling music.

I wish "Let's Impeach the President" hadn't been cut so short, but that's okay. I'm listening to it now. Thank you for being a Canadian American patriot. America needs all the patriots it can get right now. God knows the president and most of Congress aren't patriots!

Pure joy - you know he loved it.

And that part about Pluto being a planet - that Neil Tyson had huevos grandes to go back on the Report to eat crow. And the part where Colbert insults Plutos moon Charon and that asteroid were pretty good, too. Then we got another "better know a district"! Tonights show gets an A+ from me.
