Poll question: Begala said it yesterday... which would you rather have?
Paul Begala yesterday said on the Situation Room, "you could look it up, right now there are 3 or 4 types of venerial diseases more popular than Bush".

So let's throw that out there. Minus anything permanent (Herpes) or deadly (AIDS, possibly Syphillis)...

Would you rather have a Venerial Disease than Bush as President?

1. Gee I don't know about that one
Never had a venereal disease but I watched Army VD movies and I still cringe thinking about them 40 years later.

7. C'mon yourself.
I would gladly lay down and die if I knew it would fix this shit storm we're stuck in. I got kids and I want something of he country I thought we had to be passed on to them.

10. Wouldn't you rather be there for your kids?
I would rather deal with the shitstorm but still have my family to lean on than haver a perfect world without them.

12. Of course I'd rather be there for my kids.
But still, like I said: If I knew or was even reasonably certain that my death would fix this shit, I choose death. There are worse things than death. My kids would understand, after all, they're my kids. I wouldn't be having a perfect world without them, I would be giving them a better world, albiet without me in it.

So many of my parent's generation made the same choice before they had kids.

13. I respect your decision...
...but I would never choose death outright to do it. I might risk my life, but I wouldn't just roll over and allow myself to be killed.

14. Were I to decide to risk my life for a cause...
It is the equivilent of deciding to die for the cause. To put it in poker terms, don't bet a stake you're not willing to loose.

The warrior who believes he's already dead is the most effective. This is the attitude that leads suicide bombers to do what they do. The attitude that allowed platoons to hold ground against staggering odds in wars past. The attitude that enabled the founding of our nation.

I purposely excluded permanent or life threatening VDs.
