CIA orders censoring of Nostradamus book predicting Bush 2008 assasination

CIA ORDERS BRITISH AUTHOR TO CENSOR NOSTRADAMUS BOOK
From London Evening Standard
Londoner's Diary

SNIP
A NEW BOOK about the prophecies of the French 16th Century seer Nostradamus by British author MARIO READING has had to be toned down following pressure from the CIA, because it predicts the assasination of President Bush.

The CIA has also insisted that reference to the Bush murder in 2008 should be removed from the cover of Reading's NOSTRADAMUS: THE COMPLETE PROPHECIES FOR THE FUTURE, when it comes out n America later this year.

"I am not really surprised and I do understand because a lot of stuff gets onto the internet where it can be picked up by nutters," says Reading, a noelist and French translator, who used new techniques to decipher and match up Nostradamus's predictions. "So I've had to make the predictions less specific than it was originally."

Reading believes the troule started when he incurred the wrath of the CIA in 2000 be writing about American Green Berets poisoning school cildren and teachers during the Viet Nam war. "IF Mr BUSH IS A WISE MAN HE WILL READ QUATRIAN 2006-2008 VERY CAREFULLY INDEED AND THEN TAKE URGENT STEPS TO MAKE SURE THE PROPHECY DOESN'T COME TRUE," Reading says in the Introduction.

2. How ironic! A man who lived in the 18th century
may be the one person who brings us light.

4. Please, nobody try to assassinate him. That would turn him into a hero.
Much better for him to live a long full life in prison pondering his evil deeds. I'll personally deliver the papers, magazines and books to him full of writings about how reviled he his in the United States and the world.

5. Exactly.... none of those who oppose Bush* would want that...
Which makes me suspicious--IF an attempt were to be made, especially as late as 2008--WHO and WHY t would they be doing so? hmmmmmmmm?

6. I have a theory about why the neo-cons would take out bush

If the take out bush in early '08 or late '07, cheney becomes prez. He already said he's retiring in '08, so he's not going to run for prez. But if bush is out of the way and he is prez, he can appoints a new hand-picked (by karl, of course) vp, who can then run in the '08 election as an incumbent, running on the "terror" agenda, just like monkey boy did in '04.

Sounds like tinfoil hat shit, but I wouldn't put it past these sob's.

11. that... or the more simple theory...
the Neocons want a martyr symbol, believing that it would garner them the support they are dramatically losing day by day, even among Repugs.

8. What good is it for Bush to be assasinated in 2008?
Edited on Sun Jan-22-06 01:00 PM by RebelOne
His term would already be over. And he would already have damaged our country beyond repair even if a Democrat wins the presidency.

9. Good for the repugs, I suspect
they'd make a martyr out of him and take the Presidency again.

12. I call bullshit
First off, this seems like quite lovely pr for this book, no?
second off, this would be the action of the Secret Service, who's job it is to protect the President, not the CIA. Unless the CIA owns the publishing company, I fail to see what sort of pressure they can apply to a book being published in the US.
third off, this is just silly.
