Unwanted: Nobody invites O'LOOFAH to parties

Fast Chat: 'Nobody Wants Me'

..... You criticize people like Tom Brokaw, Katie Couric and Dan Rather for being liberal sympathizers. When you run into them at cocktail parties, are they nice to you?
I don't get invited to parties. Nobody wants me. When I do go, everyone is exceedingly polite to me.

If you had to spend an afternoon with Keith Olbermann, Al Franken or Frank Rich, whom would you pick?
I wouldn't choose any of them. There is nothing on earth that could make me engage any of those people.

What do you think of Katie Couric's CBS News?
CBS made a brilliant move. Network news is going to depend on personalities rather than general presentation. Katie Couric is a terrific personality.

Your book champions "traditionalists" and scolds "secular progressives." Are there Democratic traditionalists?
Joseph Lieberman, John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy. ....

So two deceased Democrats and one who lost his party's primary.
OK, maybe Evan Bayh. Maybe Barack Obama. From what I can see of him he does have traditional beliefs. But I could be wrong because he's cagey.

2. Why would anyone in their "right" mind invite O'Lielly to any gathering?
He's a bombastic arsehole of the first order. :puke: :puke:

Doesn't everyone know that list he's on is Osama Bin Laden's speed-dial numbers?

4. oh good--co-opting Bobby, not just JFK & MLK
pretty soon the GOP will get right to the point: they think the only good democrat is a dead democrat (so they can put words in their mouths without them protesting).

6. And there you have why this guy is so mad at the world...
Edited on Mon Sep-25-06 09:59 AM by Crankie Avalon
...no one respects him and he knows it.

BTW, I'd heard that when he is at parties, he awkwardly slinks around the peripheries of people's conversations, waiting for them to eagerly invite him ("The Great" Bill O'Reilly) to take part, I guess. Apparently, they never do.

7. Of course no one invites him to parties.
The coat girl would have a sexual harassment case five minutes after he's through the door.

8. I figured out who Bill O'Reilly looks to as his mentor
Major Frank Burns from M*A*S*H (tv show, not movie).

He kind of looks like him - no chin, angry eyes that don't register any intelligence. He gets all pissy over people who don't agree with him, criticize him (even nicely), or has any kind of fun with activities he doesn't like. He parrots the official line without thinking critically about it. And of course, just like Frank, he tells us how moral he is while he cheats on his wife.

14. Actually, Dubya has always reminded me of Frank Burns
especially when he laughs his moronic laugh. I think of Frank Burns every time he does that.

13. "... everyone is exceedingly polite to me. "???
That's not being "polite," Billo. That's like stepping around a big, stinking pile of dogshit. Nobody wants to step in it. Nobody wants to handle it. Until it's disposed of properly, people are (in your words) "polite" to it.
