"Bush is a two bit dictator...."
Torture, suspension of habeus corpus, secret testimony, coersed testimony, secret rendition, secret prisons, backing out of the Geneva Convention...

All that adds up to a two bit dictator.

For what?

To protect me from the scores of terrorists attacking people in my downtown?

How many buses have blown up in your hometown?

Where is the terror?

It isn't fucking in the streets of this country. It is in the White House and behind the closed door GOP meetings.

Bush wants to be dictator....I say bring it on...the American people won't stand for it.

Don't Tread On Me!

This country wasn't built to be torn down by cheap politicians.

The hundreds of thousands of people who died making this country free didn't offer thier lives to protect Halliburton's right to plunder the U.S. treasury, or to give handouts to the rich.

Where is the FREEDOM...

It isn't coming from Washington that is for damn sure.

It is right here in our hearts and WE KNOW...what is happening is wrong. MOST Americans know too.

Bush and the GOP are treading on America and on me.

We ARE ALL RED, WHITE AND BLUE.... all colors, all people, all faiths...lets start acting like a free nation and THROW THE INTERLOPERS that highjacked this nation OUT in November.

5. This is the shift we need to make

I agree with you.

We've allowed these "cheap politicians" and their propagandist-conjurers to engineer a new version of America for us. This new America is a place where the government (and its figurehead) is the final dispenser and arbiter of meaning -- of Democracy, Justice, Human Dignity, Torture, Morality, Science, Religion. Even "Freedom" itself has been redefined for us, in the last six years, to mean some kind of unhindered global crypto-messianic capitalist hegemony.

We need to shake off the trance of fear and powerlessness the neocons have trapped us in. They took advantage of this country by tainting the waters of the national psyche with fear, divisiveness, jingoism and statist religion at a time when most of our citizens were deeply traumatized and vulnerable after the 9/11 events -- a blatant manipulation of mass psychology through the lapdog media.

Where is the freedom? It's right where it always was - with us and in us. We can reclaim it by making the shift in consciousness back to a sense of owning our Freedom as Americans. We decide where Freedom begins and ends. We decide the parameters and powers of our Democratic Republic, guided by the founding fathers, the constitution and the sacrifices of our ancestors. We are America. George Bush is an impostor. WE ARE THE DECIDERS!!! I, you, we decide the value and meaning of the principles that guide us as a nation (a nation unique, by the way, in all recorded history). America isn't some global juggernaut of corporations and banks. America is composed of Americans. It's us: we the people. We have countless possibilities and choices before us right now. We're a nation of free people representing every possible human heritage and specialization of human knowledge.

The time is very late. We still have the power. We choose. We decide. It's time to make the shift.

J

6. Too bad the Democratic "leadership"
doesn't have the balls to say the same things --- to tell it like it is. Our Republic and our Constitution are being degraded and destroyed bit-by-bit in front of our eyes. If someone doesn't start yelling soon about the Emperor's New Clothes it will be too late and we'll all end up in Halliburton domestic internment camps.
