Bill "Culture Warrior" O'Reilly on Foley
I wonder how the segment would have gone if it were a Democrat?
From http://www.sweetjesusihatebilloreilly.com/archive/100206.html :

October 2, 2006 - Mark Foley and Bill O'Reilly: Culture Warriors

On Friday's Factor, Bill waited until late in the program to discuss the unfolding Mark Foley
scandal. That quintessential O'Reilly outrage had somehow faded into the night and we were
left with a rather subdued Bill:

"In the Impact Segment tonight, a very disturbing story. Republican Congressman Mark
Foley of Florida has resigned for sending a series of e-mails to a 16-year-old former
congressional page.

Foley was a strong advocate of Jessica's Law and protecting children from predators,
now finds himself having to explain his relationship with a young boy.

O'Reilly later explained that, "Mark Foley is the co-chairman of the House Missing and
Exploited Children Caucus. He's been on this program many times on FOX News Channel,
often talking about protecting the kids."

1. That's Why We're in a Culture War
If you can call that culture!

The only culture the GOP resembles is the kind of rot that produces slime molds, feeds insects, and destroys everything into sludge.

2. Foley comment about kids under the age of 18:

....Foley later added, "Kids deserve protection. People that are under the age of 18 need
supervision by someone who will look out for them."

3. Sweet jesus!
If it was a Democrat that was caught with his hand in the Page Jar O'Lielly would be calling for mandatory sterilization of all Democrats. This self described "former Democrat" is the biggest hypocrite on the planet. Unfuckingbelievable! :banghead:

4. Talk about attempting to Defend the Indefensible!
No Bill O, the Taliban and Bin Laden LOVES YOU for your disgustingly Right Wing Idiocy.

As long as you and people like you spew their FILTH, recruitment is way way up! Not for the USA Military, but for Al Quaeda.

Bill O and Dear Leader have the Reverse Midas touch in common.

Mission Accomplished you dimwit MFs! :puke:

6. When it's democrats or "activist judges"
That does something he perceives as not protecting children, he goes ballistic. Not with Foley though. They probably shared falafel stories.

7. It's not his job to go ballistic about something like this...
Edited on Mon Oct-02-06 08:03 AM by Crankie Avalon
...The secondary purpose of his show is to pretend to be a "news" program, so he'll mention something like this in passing to keep up the charade. However, his job--and the primary purpose of his program--is to get fired up about things (often make-believe things, at that) that reinforce his and his audience's self-esteem and that can make them feel like crusaders/martyrs/etc. Anything that proves it is actually people like him, his allied guests, and his audience of largely angry old white males who are the real "bad guys" doesn't lend itself to that primary purpose of the show.

O'Reilly's book was released on September 25, and has fallen to #18.
