Page Said INITIAL E-Mails Were "Sick"/GOP Sez "Overly Friendly"

You'll notice that the Rs have decided to go with the meme that Foley's non-IM e-mails were
"overly friendly," and that they had no knowledge of the "sick" IMs that were also sent.

But the Congressional Page involved called the non-IMs Foley sent him "sick."

Isn't that just like a kid? Not understanding the difference between sick and overly friendly? I
guess the real victims are Foley and the GOP, not the page.

...and they are scrambling to make the distinction. However, the emails sent red flags up for the young man who received them. But then, what does he know anyway.

Of course, the fact that other pages have been warned for years about this guy, kind of puts the lie to that line of reasoning. And, the fact that when the page complained about the "sick" emails, it was reported to those who are in charge of the page program -- well, all of them except the lone Democrat.

Hm, now why would that be???

Anyway: the emails were confined to expressions of concern, asking the young man for a picture of himself, etc. They did not rise (sic) to the level of the I/Ms, which were quite explicit.

15. Not the same kid with the "over friendly" emails. That IM was from 2003

and a different kid. ABC received them from another source after they ran the email story.

The kid with the emails broke off communications with Foley after he asked for a pic and the kid's instincts told him there was something wong about what Foley was up to. But there was no sexual content in the emails. Those were the emails that it's been established the leadership knew about. Which is why the GOP is focusing on them.
