On the surface, Condi has to be the dumbest person in Governmental history
She doesn't recall any meetings with anyone, doesn't recall any briefings or documents she has ever read. Couldn't imagine people flying planes into buildings nor Katrina rolling through and the levees being breached.

We all know Bush is a dimwit but based on public pronounciations alone Bush is malicious whereas Condi is just flat out the dumbest person in high government office, ever.

3. But everyone lets her get away with it
The media never asks any questions that would expose her lies. If she says she doesn't recall, they just leave it alone and let her go on.

It should be "What do you mean, you don't recall?"

18. PhD from University of Denver Graduate School of International
Studies-- a program begun by Madeline Albright's father. Needless to say, they proudly refer to Albright (and rarely mention Rice). In that program, at least, the staff and faculty are as progressive as we are (and equally appalled, I can assure you).

University of Denver is a fine school. I've a friend who has kids there, one grad, one under. What, as you say, an embarrassment.

Then again, so is Yale and Harvard, yet they have to acknowledge having had Bush* receive a degree there...

6. She's just a bad liar, and her job is primarily to lie for her husb...
the president. No double pun intended. Well, yes it was.

When you are reading a script written by an idiot, you look like an idiot.

I don't think she's dumb, I just think she's incredibly naive and detached. She's the cliche of the Ivory Tower academic with no real world understanding and no flexibility of thought. Those are very rare, despite the cliche, and they are often the few conservatives who become academics. My own theory is that it's because reality is liberal-biased, and conservatives have to deny that reality to cling to their ideas--thus their thoughts do not match the outside world. There are liberals like that, too, it's just not as predominent.

11. She's not dumb, and she had plenty of real-world experience as part of
41's administration before joining this farce. She didn't know, doesn't recall, never read, and couldn't imagine is just damn good cover for the criminal behavior this administration. Nobody ever says, BS, how could you forget something this important, or of course you know, read, and/or could have imagined. Calling them stupid and incompetent just enables their criminality.

33. More to the point ...

The "do not recall" crap would, in any other organization when used as an explanation to questions by employers, boards, etc., be grounds for discipline due to incompetence.

To use a real-world, more accessible analogy, if the head of security for, say, the local strip mall was visited by the chief of police and told that his detectives had information indicating one of the strip malls in the area might soon be a target of a large-scale burglary, and if that head of security did not take the appropriate measures based on in this information, and anyone knew that the information had been passed, that security head would immediately befired if his excuse was "I do not recall" receiving that information.

12. Keep in mind her
area of expertise was the Soviet Union, which went out of business before Clinton became President. And SHE was the best Bush could come up with for National Security Adviser? It's absolutely true that she's the typical ivory tower academic with no real world experience.

On top of that, I think it's quite impossible for any of us to understand how much of a bubble those who are high up in any administration are. They don't drive their own cars, they certainly don't ride the Washington Metro to work, they are highly paid and get wined and dined all of the time. Even a completely honest and ethical person is going to lose touch.

One of the truly amazing things about Clinton was that he actually stepped outside the bubble periodically. You'd see stories pretty much every year that he'd gone off to a department store to do Christmas shopping. Yeah, he would have had secret service with him, but he still actually got out there. Not quite like Condi who was buying extremely high end shoes while New Orleans was drowning.

16. The thing I find humorous about the Republican take on the Cold War
is that somehow Reagan amassed this huge military and it scared the Soviets into submission. The religious then somehow split that credit with the Pope whose words apparently did the trick.

In all of history I guess Mikhail Gorbachev will be least appreciated for chooing by his own will to change the context in which USSR operated and leading them along by the hand towards a more free society (before Yeltsin got impatient and ran the whole coup).

But Condi is probably trained in the military wins cold wars mindset that so foolishly prevails among these people.

We didn't get nuked because of diplomacy, empathy and understanding and we won with ideas and morals not brute force....

They will never get it.

19. My wife made an excellent observation recently
She pointed out that Rice has never publicly said anything that couldn't as readily have been said by anyone who watches even a little bit of news. Rice's insights are no more insightful than those of even a minimally informed adult, yet she's praised in Republican circles for her wisdom and clear thinking.

Oh, brother...

26. Her role needs to be looked at this way, and she's really quite successful
at aiding the bush crime family loot two countries, the US and Iraq. We expect them to be civilized human beings, not criminals, and then call them stupid when they fail.

Michael Parenti says these people are laughing all the way to the bank while we shake our heads and call them stupid. I agree with him.

28. Calling her stupid, dumb &/or ignorant lets her off
from being accountable. She is none of those. She is a team player of a Criminal Admin. She was chosen because she proved that she would tow any policy that she was told to perpetrate. Also, she is seen as above criticsm because of her race and gender. Most Dems voted for her both times for her positions. Think about that for a minute.

29. Dems voted for whom?
Katie Couric of whom we had no say, a network head (Leslie Moonves) did? Or Condi Rice of which we tried to vote her and her boss out of office (or prevent him from ever getting in) but had our votes stolen twice?

Whom did we vote for?
