Delay conspired against and helped oust Newt

Newt was replaced by Bob Livingston, who immediately had to step down because he was busted and exposed to be a cheating hypocritical slug (thanks Larry Flynt). Hastert replaced Livingston.

Delay was actually the de facto Speaker. Hastert was just a figurehead.

Delay was forced to resign, and it appears that Hastert's resignation is imminent, thanks to Mark Foley (another lying, cheating, hypocritical lechering slug).

I really don't have a "point" to all of this.

I just know it makes me feel good. :)

Fucking Republicans. Reap what the fuck you have sown. Who are you going to replace Hastert with? Just HOW low can you go?
