If they knew about this years ago and Boehner (boner) is taking the heat for the last few months, what did Delay do about it when he was there? What did Delay know and when did he know it?

Surely he had to know if they knew last year, didn't he?

2. Welcome To The Rabbit Hole...I asked the same question
Here's something more to chew on...and that was DeLay's modus operandi. He ran the House like the mafia. Think of Hastert as Abe Vigoda. Nothing went on in that House without DeLay's knowledge...especially something this juicy.

Surely DeLay had to know about Foley being gay and if Fordham says he brought it to Hastert's attention 2 or 3 years ago, DeLay had to have caught wind here. And how did he react? He put Foley in charge of the child internet committee and raised his profile in the leadership. Hmmm. Again, this is DeLay's House...no one did anything without getting the blessing.

Foley was a big money raiser and surely that had a lot to do with DeLay looking the other way about his "peculiarities" as much as others in the "leadership" did. Call it the GOOP "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy. Foley was a ticking timebomb inside that caucus and leadership that everyone wanted to ignore and they did so at their peril.

Remember, when DeLay was in charge, he had squashed the ethics committee and any journalist who tread on DeLay did so at their peril. These guys thought they were bulletproof...they had all the power and money and could always fix their way out of messes.

Isn't it amazing how Mr. DeLay...who'd gladly chime in if this were a Democrat, is silent on his former leadership partner.

Maybe Kirk Fordham will shed a little more light on how the Hammer fits into this picture in the days to come.

4. Fordham might be looking to save his own skin
I hope, for his sake, he made some great contacts in the private sector, because he is toast in politics.

Oh wait. He worked for Republicans. Of course he made some great connections in the private sector.

6. Nothing Worse Than A Press Secretary Scorned...
Methinks there was a nasty falling out between Mr. Fordham and Reynolds that could really blow this scandal into hyperdrive tomorrow.

Fordham not only worked for Foley but was a longtime friend (and who knows what else). Sounds like Fordham was forced into this mess by Reynolds to see if there was a way to squash this thing and when Fordham failed, Reynolds needed someone to throw under a bus. I believe Fordham when he said he was trying to "save a friend" and that he probably thought he was helping and instead of getting cover from Reynolds, he became a target. He had to duck the media for a couple days...something was going on.

This is such a great example of shit flowing downstream. Each person on the leadership chain has looked for a scapegoat in this scandal and initially it piled up on Fordham's door...he's just unplugging the slime and didn't bite the bullet as was expected of him.

5. Oh, I am not saying he cared at all
I am saying that he shouldn't be let off the hook either. This should be added to his list of corrupt behavior.
