Tenet tells Rice who tells Rumsfeld and Ashcroft. What Does Bush Do?
To summarize: Tenet is scared shitless and pulls a shock and awe meeting on Condi to get her attention. Condi gives Tenet a cold reception but must have thought something of the information because she has Tenet give it to Rumsfeld and Ashcroft soon thereafter. Ashcroft is so shook he won't so much as think about getting on a civilian airliner again. Who knows what Rumsfeld thought. Condi's was almost living in Bush's back pocket back then so its unimaginable that she didn't mention any of this to him. One might recall that Tenet has also testified that he was meeting with Bush almost daily back then, also making it sort of improbable that he felt restrained from mentioning, in the restrained atmosphere of the fart-joke-filled conference rooms of the White House, that the United States was about to be ambushed.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, or maybe I should say pig-farm, Bush is cutting brush in the days remaining before "everything changed."

2. I think that in comparison ...

Tenet was much more of "a traitor" to our Democratic Republican than Powell.

Perhaps that's why Tenet received the Medal of Freedom and Powell, did not. Ya think?

Shame on both these men - They had the RESPECT of a substantial portion of the Country. That is, if they submitted their resignations without comment, even the whorish M$M would have wanted to know "why."

Either one of them could have stopped the Iraq Invasion. Tenet could have stopped 9-11 if he resigned because he felt *Ignored.*

However, for both these men, being a Good Team Player was more important to them than to uphold the Constitution of Our Beloved Country. :grr:

hired would be a little more competent, cripes... even the CIA has found out their plan"

5. Or Maybe Not...
"Condi gives Tenet a cold reception but must have thought something of the information because she has Tenet give it to Rumsfeld and Ashcroft soon thereafter".

I think if Dr. Rice had been genuinely concerned she would have arranged the meeting herself to have Mr. Tenet brief Ashcroft and Rumsfeld. She, as the department head, would have chaired the meeting to show how serious she thought the issue was. Instead she gave him the the old bureaucratic brush off. "Oh, that's nice", she said,"why don't you go talk to John and Don about this. And oh, don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out".

I don't think she could have been any more disinterested.
