No matter what the decider-in-chief is mouthing off about, there isn't a school in this nation that wouldn't like students to read at grade level with or without this under-funded mandate. How silly is this debate. My school went on a "watch" list after it fell from 99% success rate to 98% the next year. Which means that statistically 1 or less student(s) didn't meet the requirement the next year. So our town was threatened with withholding federal funds if it didn't come around.
