We have lives with a nuclear India, Pakistan, China, UK, Israel, Russia...and all their sattlites. If we don't bother them, I don't think they will bother us...it would be suicidal.

4. i was going to say something else
but it was more than one syllable so i'll just move on

i don't think MAD is definitive wrt U.S (and allied) nuclear capability as compared to north korean aspirations........

i can define aspirations if necessary

11. You have absolutely no idea in the world what their aspirations
are so why pretend you do? They have not attacked a single soul in over half a century can you say that about America? How arrogant some people are....

7. well
we don't have to seek a nuclear solution

we have only found it necessary to do that once

in this particular case, i think diplomatic efforts through china will suffice......

money talks.........bullshit walks

12. I was half joking there. It is assumed they already do have nuclear
weapons, at least a couple of them. So prying them from his psychotic little hands might be an issue, particularly with the skilled diplomats in this administration.

...it's more an issue of Israel not living with it.

8. North Korea no problem - Iran well they have OIL....
Edited on Thu Oct-05-06 12:52 PM by LaPera
North Korea will be brushed off with a bunch of do nothing tough talk by the Monkeyboy...and N Korea is always there in reserve if Bush ever needs a diversion for some scandal AND N Korea doesn't have any oil...So what the fuck does Bush care about N Korea?

Iran, well it has huge oil fields and BushCo wants control of those fields to secure all the oil for their greed & imperialistic needs...And Iran is a great diversion to make the wimp look tough, divert scandals & distort elections - AND Israel doesn't want Iran to have any nuclear power and when Israel speaks we jump with our tax-paid military.

9. you either need a smaller axe
or a bigger grinder

all of north korea's neighbors are VERY concerned about kim jong developing and selling nuclear capability. i'm gonna go way out here on a limb and state (unsubstantiated, don't ask for a link)that north korea's enemies aren't real happy about it either. perhaps you could help me understand regional stability.....world peace doesn't seem to be a particularly interesting topic to you.

i don't recall ever hearing israel disputing any particular country's sovereign right to nuclear energy......i do recall some negative reaction to people that want israel to disappear from the face of the earth from actually acquiring a nuclear weapons arsenal.

the U.S. Military has never set foot on Israeli soil..........unless you count the concentration camps but that was just a walk-thru

the little monkey boy doesn't have to look tough by fronting on iran

develop an argument that serves to include people or just STFU

if you take exception to this response, name one politician that we are trying to either place in office or retain in office that agrees with your message over mine and i will be happy to apologize

13. Same Thing I've Been Saying For 4 Years
When we heard the "smoking gun/mushroom cloud" line then, i said, "SO?" That could have happened at any time in the last 50 years anyway. We lived with that threat the whole Cold War.

What the idiot right would have us believe is that the "new enemy" is less rational. However, i see no justification for that belief. Power mad tyrants are the same whether Stalinist Soviets, Maoist Chinese, or radical theocrats in Iran. They aren't interested in being annihilated themselves. And they won't do anything to foment that self-immolation at the hands of a U.S. nuke.
