None of these gave info that I ever noticed. Have there been WhiteHouse Press Spocksman that actually answered questions, gave information to the press?

4. The Press Secretary's Press Secretary was Pierre Salinger
He almost quite once when JFK et al. held information from him and he was caught in a lie. He had values and ethics, and understood the importance of conveying information in an honest fashion. The press understood and appreciated this, too.
