5. Why On Earth Would Anyone Re-register Now?

Nothing to stop any Republican from voting Democratic in the upcoming election. There's nothing to stop any Republican from staying home either, which is what I suspect is really going to happen.

Once the primaries are over there really isn't any reason to re register in the other party no matter which side you are on, and if they weren't already registered it becomes difficult to understand how they could have called themselves Republicans in the first place.
