I went to Fenway in 2004 for a game. I saw this old man slowly making his way to seats with his walker. He had a Sox shirt, Sox hat and Sox jacket. I couldn't help but smile at him with affection. He was just so emblematic of all of those Sox fans that kept holding on and hoping, please God let me live to see them win the World Series! I was glad later that year when they did despite my team of origin. I just felt for the people of the area so much. But, now that's over with so Go YANKEES! :P

I do know that Randi doesn't understand what an interview is. She thinks the interviewees are there for her to use as props while she talks. And it's not about Pukes; it goes from Cindy Sheehan to Charlie Rangel. The only person who can get her to shut up is Palast. But that's only because Greg understands that they only way he can get his point across is if he interviews himself.

As for your listed examples, when I've heard these interviews, it was more like a conversation. She's always said she wants to have a conversation with her guests. I guess you prefer NPR to Randi, which is your choice. But from your posts, I feel like we're listening to two different programs.

She does a poor job of listen to her guests. She sometimes picks fights with callers who are on her side because she doesn't let them finish their points. I never found Randi to be good at interviewing people. She likes to rant and she rants far to often over the guest.
