What If?
After ALL THIS, EVERY SINGLE CRAPTACULAR Thing that's gone wrong during the repubs watch. I don't need to name the laundry list. It's the same as the list from last Thursday, but now has added to it a Child "Predator" Sex Scandal and COVER-UP.

But What If after all that, they still end up maintaining control of BOTH the House & Senate? What If you tune in at 11 PM EST Election Night, to see the networks projecting the repubs maintain control. What If you see these FACIST, EVIL Excuses for human beings, smiling ear to ear as the Democrats go down AGAIN?

Where will the blame be? Is it just a matter of there being too many BRAIN DEAD MORONS in this country, who just don't give a shit? Will it be that these FACIST right wingers are now so numerous, they can't be stopped? Is it the religious theocracy described by a Countdown guest earlier this week? Or will it be a question of whether they STOLE it yet again?

Regardless, it does not look good for the repubs right now. Yet I STILL think they're NOT going to lose. I Want It. We Need It. But I guess at this point I'm so convinced in their overwhelming ability to create chaos, and act in a 100% CORRUPT manner, that I somehow remain highly skeptical that even a BLATANT SCANDAL & COVER-UP like this current one, will be enough to get the Democrats a win.

People have said that even if King george got on TV and had sex with a 12 year old, he would still get support from 25-30% of the public. How can we ever hope to move forward with that amount of opposition to REALITY?

2. The Dems will win control of both the House and Senate IF
the elections are fair. Unfortunately, that's a big "if".

3. Counterpoint
But look on the bright side.

What if all this turns out to be the beginning of a chain of events that ultimately results in reversing the trend toward fascism in our government, the full restoration of our Constitution, a renewed respect for human rights and for science, the condemnation and outlawing of torture in our names, and an end to apathy and tolerance of government corruption.

Imagine all that stemming from the Mark Foley scandal. It could happen!
