that was another factor in the "breakdown." I don't remember what station I had on, but they filmed the horse-drawn carriages with families inside. It was unbelievably upsetting, on so many levels. What really got to me was that one of the mothers of the little girls supposedly invited the wife of the gunman to the funeral (it wasn't clear if she attended).

How sick a world is it that I was actually thankful for the Foley debacle so that those poor people and Lancaster County were spared from a major media assault. This was bad enough, but without Foley, gawd almighty, I can only imagine.

Amish do NOT allow their faces to be photographed. They consider it TERRIBLY VAIN. That's why I was so surprised by the older man who said just a few words on camera earlier in the week.

The children's faces may be photographed if they or their parents do not object because as nonmembers of the church they are not bound by the rules.

gentleman's face, but the cameraman did stay somewhat to the side. Another man was followed down a sidewalk and asked about "forgiveness." As for the children, I shit you not, they were filming in the carriages that were part of the procession. Permission or not, I found the "face shots" highly inappropriate. That "he's my cousin from Ohio" scene from Witness is coming to mind!
