If you've never participated, now is the opportune time to get involved. Campaigns and volunteers are more than willing to walk you through the steps to ensure that you feel comfortable as an active participant in the campaign!

1. Here's a good idea...

We've got some local energetic & talented high school students who are performing in our GOTV "Rock the Vote" event for our local candidate. Includes comedy & musical talent, performed at a local school auditorium; admission = 1 canned good to be donated to local food pantry. Includes special appearance by the candidate.

2. I will be door knocking, my only concern

is that I think this may be scheduled during a Twins playoff game, if it is, I hope they cancel as I don't want doors slammed in my face.

4. Maybe you can find a clever way to

work a baseball theme into your pitch. (No pun intended). Make it short, and you might grab their attention for a second. Perhaps point out that you chose to do this, instead of watch a game, because it's that important.

Bought 'Conservatives Without Conscience' and 'Watchdogs of Democracy' today. That's about all I plan on doing.

I volunteered to do some work for Harold Ford Jr.s campaign and might get to start on Monday.
